Day 1: AIRPORT / NEGOMBO
Arrival, welcome & assistance at the airport. Transfer to Negombo. Afternoon a city tour of Negombo,  set  amidst  lush  groves  of  coconut  palms,  it  breathes  the  spirit  of  the  sea. Negombo is a gourmet’s paradise with seafood in plenty, known as the  country’s biggest Roman Catholic town, with huge imposing churches down almost every street and also the largest fishing village of the western part of the island. The sea & the catamarans are the backdrop to the Negombo scenery. Visit the fish market and other places of interest. Return to the hotel for overnight stay

 
 
 

Day 2: NEGOMBO / YAPAHUWA / ANURADHAPURA
After breakfast excursion to Anuradhapura, en-route visit the ruins of Yapahuwa, an ancient monastery. Afternoon arrive in Anuradhapura & visit the ruins of the first capital founded in the 5th century BC, covered by vegetation. A large number of ancient monuments of a great civilization are found here. World Heritage city Anuradhapura, in picturesque ruins, was once a  major center of Sri Lankan civilization. Discover the ancient ruins, beautiful man-made lakes, monkeys and birds. Overnight. Stay at the hotel.

 
 
 

Day 3: ANURADHAPURA / MIHINTALE / SIGIRIYA
After  breakfast  leave  for  Mihintale,  the  place  where  Buddhism  was  introduced  to  the country. Climb the 1880 steps and see the ruins of the 3rd century BC. Arrive in Sigiriya. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 
 
 

Day 4: SIGIRIYA / POLONNARUWA / DAMBULLA
After breakfast climb Sigiriya, located in the north-central part of Sri Lanka, 5th century BC Lions Rock, world famous for its  historical frescos and for its wonderful water gardens. Sigiriya, today is one of the world heritage sites considered to be the  8th wonder of the world. Leave for Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital of the country well known for its rock carved Buddha statues Known as "Gal Vihara" also the location where many monks have recorded and written early history on the  Thuparama Gal Potha (Stone Book) and visit other places such as the Parakrama Samudra; Royal Palace, the Kiri Vihara, is one of the most  interesting  places  in  Sri  Lanka  with  many  well  preserved  ruins  of  palace  and monasteries which  easily make every tourist impressed. Visit the old temples which are marvelous examples of Buddhist and Hindu culture. Arrive in Dambulla. Proceed to the hotel for overnight.

 
 
 

Day 5: DAMBULLA / MATALE / KANDY
After breakfast leave for Dambulla. In Sri Lankan history Dambulla cave complex dates back to 3rd and 2nd centuries  BC.  Even before the making of the complex it was well established as one of the largest monasteries in Sri Lanka. 1st Century BC also called as the Golden rock temple where you will discover some of the marvelous rock paintings of Sri Lankan history. Dambulla caves have been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Afternoon leave for Kandy en-route  visit a spice garden in Matale with a local cookery demonstration where you could enjoy the taste and aromas of the world  famous spices since early days. And also visit a batik factory and a Hindu temple in Matale. Arrive in Kandy and proceed to the hotel for overnight.

 
 
 

Day 6: KANDY / PINNAWELA / KANDY
After breakfast leave for Pinnawela & visit the unique elephant orphanage. This orphanage was established to feed, nurse &  house young elephants found abandoned by their parents due to various reasons. Best time to visit the orphanage is, the time of feeding & bathing. Afternoon shopping in Kandy, where you could fetch souvenirs in wood, copper, silver, brass, ebony, and bronze, ceramics, lacquer work, handlooms, batiks, jewellery and rush and reed ware. Visit the Kandy Museum, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and late in the evening witness a Sri Lankan traditional dance. Overnight stay at the hotel.  

 
 
 

Day 7: KANDY / PERADENIYA / NUWARA ELIYA


After breakfast visit the royal botanical gardens of Peradeniya which is well known for its large number and variety of plants. This garden is best known for its collection of orchids. Afternoon proceed to Nuwara Eliya, en-route visit the world famous tea plantations & waterfalls, vegetable cultivation and the terraced paddy fields. Apart from the number of photo stops do not forget to stop at a tea factory to enjoy a freshly brewed cup of tea and witness the manufacture of the world famous ‘’ Ceylon tea ‘’. In the nights the temperatures fall low enough to produce a frosty atmosphere. Walk around the city in the cool climate to discover the town with its colonial architecture beautiful parks and the city center. Gregory Lake is one of the attractive locations in Nuwara Eliya.  Arrive at the hotel for overnight.
 
 
 

Day 8: NUWARA ELIYA / YALA
After breakfast leave to Yala, a safari by jeep. You will spend about 3 hours at the Yala National Park. Arrive at the hotel for overnight.

 
 
 

Day 9: YALA / HIKKADUWA
Leave after breakfast towards Hikkaduwa, primarily a tourist destination, and serves as a great beach with options to surf, snorkel and enjoy the sun. Overnight stay at the beach hotel.

 
 
 

Day 10: HIKKADUWA
Spend time under the warm sun, in pristine white sand and get your feet wet or have a swim on the gentle waves slip softly to shore and a tropical heaven.

 
 
 

Day 11: HIKKADUWA / AIRPORT
After a good rest in the golden sands leave to the airport according to the flight details.

Replacement of a vehicle in case of breakdown:

We guarantee a replacement of another vehicle at earliest possible. In the meantime our driver will take care of you & the visits in order to continue with the days’ work smoothly.

Transport:
Rent a vehicle for 11 days with a minimum of 1450 Kms, Rs 51 per additional km.

Remarks - All tours commence from the Airport and end in Colombo.
